Forty-three million people are uninsured in America. Nearly 50 percent of the uninsured live in the suburbs and have an average annual income of $50,000 or less. These individuals/families do not usually qualify for any insurance programs offered by the government and may not have coverage as they are either self-employed and cannot afford the cost or are working in places where such benefits are not provided.

Chicagoland-based Compassionate Care Network (CCN) is intended for individuals who do not have insurance. CCN offers an individual membership for $30 or a $60 family membership for 6 months. This is renewable. There is also a $25 flat fee per office visit per patient. CCN also offers free health screenings at various locations.
