Organic Valley Awarded “Company of the Year” by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America for Its Halal-Certified Line of Dairy Products
ROSEMONT, Illinois (April 18, 2017) — Organic Valley has been selected as the Company of the Year – Retail Products by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA®). The award recognizes Organic Valley’s outstanding commitment to halal compliance and distribution of halal-certified products.
Elizabeth Unger, Organic Valley Regulatory Engagement Manager, accepted the award on Organic Valley’s behalf at a banquet during IFANCA’s 19th International Halal Food Conference in the Chicago suburbs.
The growing halal industry is no secret with revenue from halal certified food and beverage products estimated to be $415 billion (2015).
