QUEZON CITY, Philippines (July 3, 2012) — The National Commission for Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) and SAHL International Pte. Ltd. of Singapore to further promote the halal industry in the Philippines. NCMF Secretary Mehol K. Sadain, Dr. Muhammad M. Chaudry, president of IFANCA, and Shahlan Hairalah of SAHL International were the signatories.

“The partnership will open doors to collaboration and will further boost activity in the halal industry in the Philippines. We welcome this opportunity and look forward to working together,” said Dr. Chaudry.
