IFANCA conducted a nationwide survey to increase transparency and visibility for halal foods, identify consumer education gaps, and understand the misconceptions around halal-certified products. This survey revealed several insights regarding Americans’ awareness of and interest in halal, concerns and barriers to accessing halal foods, and interest in further education about halal-certified foods. One of the key findings was that over half of Americans familiar with halal, as well as 72% of those who regularly consume halal-certified foods, report it being difficult to find in grocery stores.
