IFANCA® Highlights its Halal Consulting and Educational Services at the American Muslim Consumer Conference (AMCC) 2011
NEW BRUNSWICK, New Jersey (October 23, 2011) – On October 29, 2011, the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA®) will be exhibiting its halal consulting services at the American Muslim Consumer Conference (AMCC), in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Attendees can stop by IFANCA’s booth for free halal educational materials, such as IFANCA’s Halal Consumer Magazine©, Halal Shopper’s Guide©, and instructional guides.
The American Muslim Consumer Conference is the only platform for industry professionals to explore the rich potential of the American Muslim market. This year’s conference is titled “Multiculturalism & the American Muslim Consumer Market” and will feature presentations targeting corporate leaders and entrepreneurs. American Muslims are an ethnically diverse group of 8 to 9 million consumers that are actively seeking halal-certified products. Major metropolitan areas, as well as university, college, and hospital cafeterias, are searching for halal-certified foods to serve their Muslim clientele. Every year, American halal food and beverage consumption generates an estimated US $20 billion. American Muslims’ collective purchasing power exceeds US $170 billion. This yearly spending includes buying halal consumables, foodservice, pharmaceuticals and personal care products.
