We are sad to report the death of Dr. Ahmad H. Sakr. Dr. Sakr was one of the founders of IFANCA and served on the IFANCA Board as well as the Chairman of the IFANCA Religious Advisory Council. A pillar of the Muslim community in the United States, Dr. Sakr was a visionary, an author, a speaker, a khateeb, a scientist, and a professor. He was a founding member and President of the Muslim Students Association of the USA and Canada (MSA), which later developed into the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), served as President of the American Islamic College, and founded the Foundation for Islamic Knowledge. He was a sought after speaker who travelled the country tirelessly in support of Muslim organizations. Dr. Sakr’s contributions to society are too many to list. All who knew him will miss him. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the Sakr family. We ask God to bless his soul and grant him a place in paradise and to bless his family and grant them patience.
