Kuala Lumpur hosted the Global Halal Summit (GHaS 2025) from 16 to 18 September at the Shangri-La Hotel, with the Grand Opening Ceremony on 19 September at MITEC, alongside the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2025). Organized by JAKIM, this high-level summit brought together halal certification bodies, policymakers, Shariah scholars, regulators, and industry leaders.
The program included the Halal Certification Bodies Convention (HCBC), where recent fatwa developments, halal hospitality, and implementation best practices were discussed. The International Halal Technical Capacity Development Program (IHTCDP) provided in-depth training for international participants on halal auditing methodology, critical control points, and audit documentation. The Global Halal Talk highlighted thought leadership from key ministers, while tours and networking sessions offered opportunities to connect halal knowledge with halal trade.
In parallel, MIHAS 2025 showcased global halal products, B2B meetings, and trade opportunities, ensuring that both intellectual dialogue and commercial growth moved hand in hand.
As a recognized global halal certification and education leader, IFANCA was honored to be part of these conversations. Our participation underscored our commitment to advancing halal integrity, sharing expertise, and strengthening collaboration with international partners.
Together, GHaS and MIHAS 2025 set the stage for innovation, policy alignment, and global impact in the halal industry. IFANCA remains dedicated to supporting these efforts and ensuring halal continues to serve as a universal standard of trust.
