Join the Texas A&M Food Science & Technology Department in conjunction with the Join Longhorn & Alamo Section, for the 2024 Food Diversity Innovation Program (FDIP) Symposium. This event will explore the future of alternative proteins, including plant-based, cellular, and insect proteins and their potential to shape the food industry.

Featured speakers include Matt Hotze, the Senior Director of Science and Technology at the Good Food Institute, a nonprofit think tank dedicated to advancing alternative protein to meet climate, global health, food security, and biodiversity goals. Brett Chirstoffel, founder of Y’all’s Foods and a champion of plant-based alternatives will also share his insights. Lynn Dornblaser, the Director of Innovation and Insight at Mintel will present her unique perspective on innovation and Brennan Smith, Ph.D. will be joining from the USDA.

In addition, esteemed professors from the Food Science Department at Texas A&M will join us to discuss cutting-edge research and innovation in the field.
