According to Turkish law, HAK accreditation is obligatory for organizations issuing halal conformity certificates for products and services for import to Türkiye (Turkey) from around the world wherever IFANCA conducts audits and issues halal certifications. This amendment officially enters into force on June 4, 2023, and is valid until 2028.

HAK accreditation is based on OIC/SMIIC 2 standards. All clients wishing to export to Türkiye must follow SMIIC standards and will be audited by IFANCA according to those standards.

IFANCA will continue to comply with SMIIC 2 standard and HAK requirements to ensure that it maintains this accreditation.
