Job Description

​Technical review of applications, products, and related documents to ensure meeting the Halal standards. Ensure following applicable laws and regulations and review principles, procedures, and techniques. Data collection, organizing, and recording. Report review findings and recommendations based on Halal certification requirements and process.


The responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
1. Review applications and documents submitted by the clients
2. Review and approve ingredients
3. Review and approve labels
4. Review request related to certifying raw materials, ingredients or products from existing or new clients
5. Apply Halal standards and requirements when reviewing client’s applications or inquiries to ensure acceptability for Halal certification
6. Provide review report, recommendations, and suggestions on applications and inquiries 
7. Work on a Halal Portal project to establish a database in IFANCA website of all ingredients of the clients, used in their products
8. Assist Quality Manager in preparing quality documents including standard operating procedures, quality manual, training material, and other documents
• Able to understand, interpret, and communicate technical aspects of halal certification processes, regulations, and standards
• Adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities; and work with a variety of situations, individuals, groups, and varying customer needs
• Prioritize tasks by importance and deadlines and adjust priorities as situations change
• Requires exceptional verbal and written communication and outstanding presentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to utilize other software programs as needed
• Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork

Additional Information
• Bachelor degree in food science
• Similar work experience is preferred

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 per annum
